Artist's Statement

Barry was born in Casino, NSW, Australia. He took up photography in 1998 as a hobby and is now very passionate about his art.

Barry is a multi-award-winning photographer and is completely self-taught. In 2001 he was awarded 1st and 3rd place in the Australian Photographic Society's Nature Division Annual Awards. In 2002/3 he was awarded first place in the “Kit Goninon Memorial Award” in the A.P. Society Print Division Annual Awards. He has been accepted into a number of National Photographic exhibitions and has won numerous major and minor awards in regional exhibitions.

Barry has been a convert to digital photography since he purchased a Canon 100 digital camera in late 2002. He says, "With this camera and the digital way of creating images, my creativity has reached new heights."
