Reddy has recently signed a deal with mobile phone company, Mobux, which will allow people to download and view his work on their phones. His website too is an online gallery through which people worldwide can see and purchase his work.
“It's a great way of getting people to see my stuff and I'm constantly promoting my work publicising my art is as much my business as producing it”
But for those who prefer the more tangible when it comes to experiencing an artist's work, Reddy's latest series, which were inspired from the countryside of Tuscany, will be 'touring' at Arthouse Australia Gallery 25 Coldstream St Yamba from March 19 th to April 21 st
The exhibition is entitled “la Toscana – a daydream of Tuscany ”, and is a reflection of Reddy's art- making process, which involves the manipulation of images using digital editing programs as well more traditional methods of painting on canvas.
Reddy takes aspects of the environment and combines them, creating new “aesthetically pleasing” works. But despite the changes he makes to these impressions, they essentially remain beautiful and serene reflections of the natural world. |
